Here is one link to check if you have not: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=2770&p=18384&hilit=rear+view+mirror#p18384

Type in "Rear View Mirror" in search and you might find some other info on the site.

Hope this helps some.

Can you adapt other early 50s mirrors on it?
1952 L-112 Long Bed BD220 3 speed, 4x4.
1962 Dodge Dart 330, 392 Hemi, T56 6 speed manual.
1986 GMC K1500 Jimmy, 396 V8, 700R4, 208C, 4x4.

Re: Inside rear view mirror

Some time ago when I posted pictures of my inside mirror I was told it was not factory original, so the answer to your question would be yes. As a disclaimer, I would say a requirement would be to have "feet" that will mount in that tight area above the windshield. In my mind, if mine wasn't factory original it may well have been added by the dealer, so I'm not loosing any sleep over it and recommend you don't either.

Re: Inside rear view mirror

Thanks Guys, I think I'll find an oval or rectangular mirror with a foot to mount to the steel just in front of the headliner, well probably closer to the windshield ,I'll rough up the foot, wax the painted metal put a dab of Bondo underneath screw it in place pop it off, sand prime and paint. Then No One Knows it's not orig..ER Whoops! I Just Told The Entire I.H. Community, So much for my secret. Thanks Sandusky
