$50 bucks seems like a good price.

Is there a reserve?

I think it is a good buy. No reserve. If core needs replaced, they are out there and decently priced. I have seen a "guaranteed" one bring well over $200. I am sure that someone has one that might need gone through for a lesser amount, but not already converted to 12volt.

Just my thoughts

It's a heck of a deal since the 12v napa motor alone is close to $50.

Well, not just $50. The shipping is more than the starting bid. But even at that, still a good price as it looks like someone has cleaned it up and repainted.

I guess it depends on where you are shipping from Or. to me is listed $25.00 so if no one bids, it's $75.00 heater to me, if I didn't have a couple already.

I was looking on the VINTAGE AIR web site to see what they offer for and heat and defrost. They have a really nice and compact unit that would tuck up under the dash and be out of site. My friend has this unit in his '40 Ford and he says that it will really move the air and his defrost clears the windscreen easily. I was just remembering how feeble the original systems were, back in the day. I had the VINTAGE AIR Mini Space Saver for heat and AC in our R120. It was good.

ain't that the truth, this heater all rebuilt purdy is still an original heater,

I don't know how well they warm up a cab, but in my L-112 panel it was like driving a freezer around with heater on full blast, and takes a good 20 minutes to thaw out a windshield.

sometimes original isn't always best,

I've seen some early L series with factory installed K series two door outhouse heaters, (musta been using up old stock)

now those KB heaters will cook you out of the cab in no time, it is kind of odd that they went to a lesser heater in the "advanced" newer 50s lines.

I always liked my Electric heater I had in my 46 chev pickup. It to would cook you out of the cab in short order if you left it on high.
