Re: Split rims

I have 1/2 ton R series axles. Front and rear.
Supposed to be the same as L series.
I'm in CA. Maybe you can find closer?

Re: Split rims

to go to 1/2 ton 5 lug rims you need to swap out rear axle as above, front axle you should be able to just put 5 lug drums on your 1 ton axle, the difference in the axle of 1/2, 3/4 ton and one ton is in bulk of I beam, spindles & bearings/hubs should swap, unless you have something different on your truck,
Lloyd's picture is 1 1/4 or 1 1/2 ton rated,

it's hard to be accurate as IHC put all kinds of axle ratings under trucks as ordered,

seen 1/2 ton looking trucks with 5 lug, 6 lug and big 6 lug like Lloyd's

best way to be sure, get a 5 lug drum and pull your front drum, try to put the 5 lug on, should slip right on like Rosie O'Donnell on a doughnut.
