So just to be clear on the best cable solution. Are you saying to run larger cable for the ground directly to the starter and also leave the ground cable to the frame. Or just go with the starter base ground?

more grounds better, body is grounded to frame with a weany lil ground strap so is engine,

battery to engine means engine is grounded,

engine sits on rubber pads, engine needs to be grounded to frame,

cab sits on rubber to frame, cab needs to be grounded,

box sits on rubber to frame, box needs to be grounded.
