Window gaskets

Where do I get the gaskets for the glass and what do you use for the door gaskets and also the cowl to hood gasket?

Re: Window gaskets

I think that these should all be available from Restoration Specialties and there is at least one other. Others should speak up also and have better memories than I.

Re: Window gaskets

I picked up my windshield and rear window seal for my s series from "I.H. Only North" in Grass Valley, Ca. They were pretty reasonably priced. The windshield seal was $40, and the rear glass seal was $28. They fit real nice. The door seals were another story. I bought mine from Outback parts in Spokane, Wa., and I'm disappointed with the product they sent. Once I have my cashflow situated correctly, I plan to purchase weatherstrip from a local auto upholstery supplier who deals in Au-Ve-Co products. Now, keep in mind that this project is less a restoration than a resurrection. But I've used Au-Ve-Co products in the past and they were of good quality and had a large selection of profiles. I'm certain I could find one that is closer than the stuff I purchased from Outback.

Re: Window gaskets

Binder Books has a lot of the rubber parts as well as manuals. Restoration Specialties has the rubber parts and there was a third company that had them but name escapes me at this time and I am wintering in AZ so not by my file. MM

Re: Window gaskets

The third one I was thinking of is "Class Tech Cars". Shop around for prices some are cheaper here others cheaper there. Then there are places like Scout Parts.com and Travelall parts.com, IH Only, Back Country Binders. For used parts on KB or L series and newer try Phil Coonrod in Grant Colorado (no internet but his phone will come up on a search. MM
