Very cool! I had a 4bta I was going to drop in, but had to sell it when times were tough a few years ago. Now I've been running the bg241 for a few years and haven't had any complaints, other than it's slow. :D But good to know on the 6bta as well. I had actually looked at a dt360, but haven't done any more than look.

If you get that BG241 in good shape and want to wake it up, one member here installed a "Keystone turbo" on one and was happy with the results. Again I don't remember who, so will not credit the wrong name, but a search of the site should show it.

Found it:
3/4 of the way down the page Dean 466 is the author of the spreadsheet, or at least who posted it.

The AG engines on the bottom line are the ones that the crank was dropped down further to allow for the longer stroke.

Have a look at https://thebinderboneyard.com/
I got the impression they installed and IHC Diesel in one of their trucks. If this is not true, they are a fantastic source for parts and ideas. I was enjoying their channel more in the past. Now they are posting way too many "shorts. I don't watch as often as I used to. Binder Boneyard might have the parts or engine you need. Maybe, A Diesel?

IHC themselves, installed the D301 in a few pick-ups at the factory, it wasn't a good seller or match and didn't sell well or last long.

Thanks CB. This information is very difficult to track down, thank you very much for posting.

It is Dean 466 who should get the credit for the work. I just posted a link to what he posted. Credit where credit is due.

Re: Engine Sleeves BG241

bossybinder, I have not checked all ag main and rod bearing dimensions, but the few I have checked do not interchange.

A DT360 is a few inches longer than a 5.9 Cummins and will not fit without moving the radiator forward or otherwise making room, but it has been done-

Re: Engine Sleeves BG241

Did I mention that the IH 304 V8 is a direct bolt-in for these trucks. I installed a 304 in my R120. All of the mounts matched perfectly, as did the radiator shroud. The steering column was replaced. It was worn out, anyway.
An after-market copy of the Saginaw/GM steering column will fit nicely. If a person can find a 1977 GM/Chevy Van column, these are available in straight and tilt. I have used a 77 Saginaw tilt in my 1940 Ford.
If this offends a person's fragile feelings, IH used the Saginaw column in the IH Scout.
I should mention, the Cummins 4bta is an easy fit. The weight is comparable to the OEM lump of iron. For more power, the Cummins 6bta (Dodge) will fit without any sheet metal modification. This installation will require front suspension improvements because of the heavier engine.

Re: Engine Sleeves BG241

SD BD BG engine were not sleeved from the factory as posted above,,,,,
however Rock Auto has repair dry sleeves available for these engines now, I was surprised to see them listed.
