L-172 universal joints

I'm looking for a newer part number for a universal joint for my 1951 L-172. The parts manual lists 74254R11 but I can't find a Spicer number. They have a guide to measuring yokes on their website but if anyone knows a current Spicer part number that would be great!

Re: L-172 universal joints

Likely easier bd quicker to knock a joint out of the driveshaft and take it and the caps with you to the truck supply house. That way it is correct to what you have, shafts have been known to be replaced over the years. While your there ask for a joint "gauge or ruler" that are made by the u joint mfg. Makes easy work of which series joint you are dealing with.
I have two K-7 with different joints.

You make a very good point, I already know the truck isn't stock (fitted with BD282 at some point).

L's aren't my strong suit, but I think they could come with the 282 or the 269.

This popped up and listed the "interchange" numbers as well as the IHC number. Does it look like what you have?
