S-110 steering wheel remoal

Easy question for most of you I'm sure. Trying to remove steering wheel from my 56 S-110 pickup. There are 2 bolt holes, threaded that accept a 1/4" fine thread. Must I use a certain puller or do I just tighten down on the 2 inserted bolts to remove the (assumed) pressed on steering wheel? I don't want to break off a bolt by just tightening down on bolts.

appreciate any knowledge,
thanks

You need to use a puller, the bolt holes are just there to attach the puller to.
