My issue with the front brakes is not the Shoes or brake drum hardware. It is with the brake hose on the driver side. It appears it has a three-way connection, with the middle swiveling.

I have a new brake hose that is supposed to be a direct fit, but it did not come with the pieces removed from the old hose.

The book indicates the swiveling piece accepts a nut inverted flared tube, ¼”, on each end. The end to the master cylinder accepts a nut, inverted flared tube, 5/16”.

Does anyone have any information on the two pieces, a sub or a good replacement?

With a little cleaning, the swivel fitting is brass and looks to be in pretty good shape.
Is anyone still using this setup? Is there a replacement that would work better? MT-97 gives no information on this part of the connection.

Feel free to reuse the part. I did on my 55 until I went off the reservation and installed Discs. Otherwise you could replumb it with a cross (4 way) that might have 1/8” pipe threads and add different adapters as needed to connect the different fitting sizes. I can’t recall though… does that pass through the frame rail web on the drivers side?

It does pass thru and held in place with a 5/8th nut and washer. It is in my first picture on this thread, but may not be totally clear.
When you reused yours, was it clogged up with rust and gunk? Especially in the adapter that pass thru the brass swivel. Mine is a little cruddy and I'm not sure the tubing would seal good if it does not cleanup better.

This is the fitting that passes thru the brass swivel. The small end connects to the brake hose and the large end, after going thru the frame rail, connects to the master cylinder.

This is close, but it does not accept tubing at the top, and it's metric.

Maybe a soak in vinegar first would be a good idea. I’ll try to find mine old stuff. I won’t be going back to it. If I find it I can send to you for shipping

MT-97 doesn't give much information, but some. #25 and 26.

Yes, I looked at that. It only says bolt and fitting. I was looking for more, such as a different name or seize information.

Jake, I did the soaking and a lot of crud came off. However, I don't think it will be any good as it has missing threads inside.

I can't help you on the fitting with missing threads, but the copper washers are available from McMaster-Carr.
