R-100 short bed

I'm back working on my R-100. My last post was in 2017 and a lot has happened to me, for me, by me and with me.
Do anyone know what the weight or approximate weight of the short bed is? That's with no fenders, bumper or tailgate.
Please advise soonest.

Re: R-100 short bed

I should think your truck weighs about the same as my L110 short bed. I weighed it, with me in it, after it was rebuilt and just back on the road again. It won’t be exact because it had the fenders, etc on it. The scale showed the total weight was 3,420# for the entire truck. But if you mean just the bed minus fenders, tailgate and bumper, again I’d say in the neighborhood of 200#. While my truck was being rebuilt, the bed sat in my shop. I had it on some sawhorses and could lift one end at a time by myself.
L110 owner since 1974, finally rebuilt 2014.

Re: R-100 short bed

Is there anyone on this forum that's in or around Frankfort, IN 46041 area, that's heading to Tucson, AZ and can pickup a short bed and deliver to Tucson, or know of someone that can make that transport? If not, do anyone know a good and reasonable shipping company to make the transport?
