Thanks for digging that out for me Paul, that's quite a lot of thought and consideration in your post! I'll stick my head up under the dash and count the number of wires coming out of the column. I hope it's just the 6 wire scenario from your description.

If anyone knows of a useable MT-103 Parts Catalog for a reasonable price I'm interested. I am not looking to complete a collection or fill in a spot on my bookshelf, I actually need the data. Any condition is considered, as long as it's still legible. I need to begin a reconditioning of the NP201 transfer case in my S120.

Great work Paul! This could be a sticky. Sometimes I take things apart to understand how they function. Got to be careful with metal tabs against Bakelite or that chip board type material I see occasionally.
