Re: vacuum advance control replacement

Is this the one you have?
I stole this from Paul. Otherwise some tilt valve dist VC engines are different. I don't have the PNs, I'm sure Paul does.

MT-103 shows a Delco-Remy part number of 1116088. It looks like there was one on Ebay with a listing that ended today. Check it. It might not have sold and may be relisted.

If you have the assembly and it is just the diaphragm that is bad they can be replaced. I replaced mine with one from a later model GM on my Kb . Works like a champ.

Re: vacuum advance control replacement

thanks for the input all. Macgiver is correct the diaphragm is all i need, purchasing another 70 year old unit would probably give me the same results...a cracked diaphragm. I ordered a Pertronics unit to go with the new igniter and coil that I also purchased. I was really concerned with it looking stock as possible and thought a unit looking stock could be bought...wrong again!!!

Thanks,

Re: vacuum advance control replacement

I recently rebuilt own V/A with a thicker diaphragm material. I even had a few extras made and would be willing to part with one or 2. Too bad my pics can't be posted here or I can show how it's done.
