Rebuilt Ross Steering Box

Spent the last couple weeks ordering parts and rebuilding my Ross steering box. The old Jeep Ross steering box rebuild kit is real close except for the gasket. The ball bearings, bearing caps, seal and bushings are right on. I made my own gasket. You will have to hone the bushings to get a good fit. Now I have a tight steering box. Before the shaft would move back and forth.

Re: Rebuilt Ross Steering Box

Walack4wd- a Jeep outfit- had all manner of Ross box parts. I still need to find a new sector shaft for mine. It’s heavily worn. I’ll probably upgrade mine to PS as Nikki has.
