Of course that spot is completely smooth and no stamping...must have been build on hang over Monday :P
I took a picture of these other 2 numers also. One is stamped but not many numbers.

More likely the block had been replaced, these are supplied un stamped, and are supposed to be stamped when they are built/installed.
All indicators are it is a 282. Only way to tell for sure is to measure the bore and stroke.
