All is good now.....I think

Bottom line, I'm pretty sure I'm all good now on starting. The only other "test" would be to run it hard on a hot 90+ degree day which I'm likely out of for this year so that will have to wait.

Last night voltage drop checked in at .11 on the hot side and .13 on the ground side so that seems to be real good. Then I set the timing at about 8 advanced. Any lower and it wanted to backfire out the exhaust. I let it idle to temp and then drove it around for 20 minutes. Easily started 4 different times within an hour of shutting it down.

Thanks for all the help with my various threads trying to get this worked out.

Sounds good , as I I mentioned mine was and now is likely much the same.

What did you end up on timing? mine seems to be ok at 7 degrees btdc
and as I mentioned still has a slight hard start issue when its hot.
certainty is easy enough to play with the timing but ,
I have a hunch a pro may know..
I can live with it as a shade tree mechanic and low mile,
mild day driver.. its all so very good.. :)

NIce to hear you got it worked out.
Take care - sm

Good to know I had fiddled with mine quite a bit.... The hot start has me
curious as my truck nearly drew down my 6V battery just yesterday,,
HUM?

Hope to hear after you get yours out for a nice warm up... Maybe I need 8 too :)

Cheers!
