1950 L111 oil bath air cleaner clamp

Tonight I took my 1950 L111 out for its first drive in 20 years. (It was great. Been working on getting it running for just over a year. Little bit here and there when I have time and I’m learning everything as I go...)

The oil bath air cleaner was off and as I was putting it on prior to the drive the clamp that holds it on broke in two.

Can anyone please point me in the right direction for a replacement?

Thanks for your help.

Can you post a picture or your clamp? there are at least two styles I think.

Oh, great. The invisible clamp. Those are the most difficult to find.
I would rather have tools I do not need than to need tools I do not have

If someone does not have one, try to braze it together. It should hold the air cleaner on until you can come up with an appropriate clamp. It is what I have done in the long ago past.

That looks very much like the clamp on the air cleaner of a Massey Harris tractor I used to own ( 1950 model ). You might try some of the different ag dealers. If you can find a parts dep't. with an old dinosaur running it, or working there, he might be able to point you in the right direction.

Good luck !!

Junk yards, bear in mind that the carburetors that IH used were also used on other brand cars and trucks so don't just limit yourself to looking at old Binders.

One of these may fit, 1 barrel or 2 barrel, looks like they have both.
