Tailgate chains

Just wanted to share today's project.
Couldnt find the correct chains for my tailgate so just built my own from lowes parts for $25.
2 snap ring clips rated 900 lbs
2 chain links 450 lbs
2 ft chains 450 lbs
Now just need to cover the chains with some sleeves or heat shrink tubing

Re: Tailgate chains

If you cover the chains, try to find something very flexible and also breathable so that it will not hold moisture.
