Ride, after work.

I just finished completing a fence repair, made necessary by industrious goats, who always seem to get the best of me. Took the truck out, just to enjoy the country air. I find it comforting, especially in these extraordinary days, to take the time and enjoy whatever is around me.

I like your truck. It is a real truck doing real work. I am not a fan of staged truck pictures. I wish I had a picture of my "R" filled with manure.
The colour of your truck is Adirondack Green. The R120 I had was that colour. When I rebuilt the truck, I stayed close to the original colour. I used PPG paint in a Ford Mustang anniversary green.
I understand the good feelings you get from driving your "R". My Dodge Ram is a great truck, but, the R120 had that little something extra my Ram will never have.
I never locked the "R" so it would not be damaged by thieves. I was not a witness to someone trying to steal the "R" while it was parked at a shopping center. I was told by two biker friends, they caught someone in the truck and pulled him out and "taught him a lesson".
I miss these guys. I knew one of them since 1968. Sadly, both of them are dead.

Nothing like a ride in an old Binder to put the world in perspective. Taking a ride in mine is good therapy, always calms me down a notch or two. I like your goats, My wife and I had a small herd many years ago, we enjoyed them but they could be a handful at times!

Oh yeah, Mike, goats are great. My family and I get a kick out of them. Each one, has it's own personality - same can be said for cows. Animals are a lot of work; but, they make life much richer, in my mind.

Steve, thank you for your comments. I'm not too far from you; I live in an unincorporated, neck of the woods, west of Novato, California.

Nikki, I be agree with you about driving an antique truck: perhaps it's the imperfect nature of its analog gauges, or the mechanical character it exudes. Driving old cars and trucks, just seems like a richer experience. By the way, great story about the attempted theft of your "R" And I'm sorry you lost such loyal friends
