O'really's? ( pun intended) sells a clone of that pump for around $55.

That might be just what I need. Wrapped the steel line with rubber as insulation from the heat, test drive was shorter than the last. So now I’m back to thinking it’s a fuel problem. Tank was gone through, manual pump has been replaced twice, not sure where else to look.

Where exactly did you mount that pump?

Thanks!

Is the fuel line new? They can have pin holes that will not show a fuel leak but will suck air into the fuel line.
Mounting an electric can be anywhere between the tank and the engine. the important part is the wireing. It needs a roll over cut off switch and also a oil pressure switch to shut the pump off when the engine isn't turning.

Re: Fuel line routing and vapor lock

Mounted the pump pic attached, I actually installed the pump for priming the carb inline with the mechanical pump. Put a toggle switch in the dash. Also when restoring, new fuel line with 5/16th line, including the fuel pick up. When I went with the turbo actually had to use it when on the freeway. Had a fuel pressure gauge too.
On another note, I drilled a 6 inch hole with a hole saw in the cab floor over the sender hole for access so if I ever needed a sender then wouldn't have to drop the tank.
I didn't go thru the oil sender wire but that's a good idea.

Those impact and roll-over switches can be purchased from some of the wiring kit companies, like Ron Francis. I got three of the switches at a Ford recycler for $5 each. The Ford switches are exactly the same as the very much more expensive one from Ron Francis.
If a person goes looking for this switch at an auto recycler, they will find in behind the passenger kick-panel. Two Philips screws hold the switch in place. A person taking this switch should consider taking a length of the Ford harness, with the correct electric connector.

Just to make another bit of information clearer. The oil pressure electric power should operate a relay that will interrupt the power to the E-pump. The oil pressure circuit should not power the e-pump.

Re: Fuel line routing and vapor lock

Dang ol boys used to crumple tin foil around the fuel lines as a heat sink,

I met a guy who did ALL his engine lines in copper, looked purdy, but copper conducts heat bigly,
