I believe so , but keep the top clip and lower spring of the old one to keep the bezel on.

On my 54 R112, I ordered buckets that were listed to fit a 1952 Chevy pickup, and they fit fine, I think there was one screw-hole I had to drill a new hole in the
grille for. As Kevin mentioned, keep the clip & spring for the bezel. I'm assuming the hole in the grille of your '56 are the same as my '54, of course.

This won't help with the bezels, but I've been told Mack R-series headlight buckets work:

These seem a tad overpriced to me, but I haven't bought or sold headlight assemblies since I left dealership parts in 2008.

There was a recent YouTube video of a bus RV the guy was working on, the owner used stainless steel salad bowls from WalMart for headlight buckets.

His recent bus was using H-D motorcycle lights, really cool looking LEDs. The bus owner is Beginningthismorning on YouTube, has a ton of videos on his bus restoration and upgrade.

i bought 14 pairs of full assemblies with buckets, lights, adjusters, trim rings, everything off ebay in 2018. was a deal too good to be true so i ordered 4. when they actually came, i ordered 10 more pairs.

common to 47-50 chevy, jeep CJ, and 50s IH, probably more.
