I never locked the "R" so it would not be damaged by thieves. I was not a witness to someone trying to steal the "R" while it was parked at a shopping center. I was told by two biker friends, they caught someone in the truck and pulled him out and "taught him a lesson".
I miss these guys. I knew one of them since 1968. Sadly, both of them are dead.
