Heater part needed

Have a 48 KB1 heater, Looking for a replacement Fan & cage, I got a new VDO Motor with a 5/16 shaft Or close to 5/16 /MM. I would to find a replacement of some kind to make it work, I muck up my old fan & cage. Rather than put more time on the old F&C maybe something with a simple mod can work.
