a little bit more information. As far as I can tell, these shocks on my 1949 KB-3 are single action Delco-Lovejoy, and were used on Chevrolet trucks too. Models 1430-xx and 1431-xx. Here is a link to a portion from a service manual. Boy was that hard to find :)

So pretty much all there is to do to these things is clean them and put new oil in them.
Restoring a 1949 KB-3 with factory stake bed. Currently truck is stripped to frame, everything photographed, tagged, and bagged. Next step is frame to go to sandblaster.
