Carter bbr1 carby

G'day all, small problem, does anybody know how to set the mixture on bbr 1carter carby, it's in my 47 kb3 grd214 motor, it's got a mixture screw on the throttle body, plus a screw in needle under the fuel bowl like a t piece, got me stumped what the settings are, it was going but trust me,! I took it off to clean it but now doesn't start, can somebody help thanks, it sort of fires but stops,. I I think I upset the mixture settings.(update) I got it going again, fiddled played around with settings, and rough but running,

float level.
Manual says setting is 5/64"below top surface of carb body casting without gasket.
Idle adjustment screw is 1/2 to 1 1/2 turns open.
accelerating pump linkage adjustment
inner hole for summer.
middle hole for intermediate climate.

Re: Carter bbr1 carby

If the carb has a high speed adjustment, I would think it is aftermarket, not original.

In general, the suggested INITIAL settings for the idle would be out 1 turn, and the high speed out 2 1/2 turns from lightly seated.

What are the series of numbers/letters stamped on the "fin"?
