49 KB5 Master Cylinder Help

Hello everybody,

This is a first post as a new member so our advanced apologies for improper formatting.

My wife and I have purchased a 49 KB5 for our wood fired catering business and finally finished all our fabrication. We have a larger master cylinder leak at the rear boot and will not drive it now until it is either rebuilt or replaced. We see many references to replacement parts but have had not had any luck with suppliers being able to help us out.

Can anyone suggest a overhaul/rebuild place or replacement part by number and manufacturer? One supplier sent a 1/2 / 3/4 ton part which has delayed us further. We are excited to be a KB owner but are now seeing the value of becoming a member to forums such as OldIHC

Thanks in advance and hope someone help.

Nice looking truck. Give it a little time, someone will give you advice. Does your truck have a hydrovac? Here are the only listings I find in the Parts section: search.php?keywords=master+cylinder&t=257&sf=msgonly

Rockauto lists them and rebuild kits too,
Personally I'd fabricate in a dual cylinder one for safety

Don't know to much about master cylinders, but that's one neat truck.
