KBS7 rear main seal

Hello, we currently have an old 1947 International KB7 fire truck that was the first engine of our volunteer fire dept. We are currently looking for information or a parts source for the rear main seal as it is leaking severely. The engine is BLD269. Any info, original supplier, or part number information would be greatly appreciated.

Re: KBS7 rear main seal

If I'm not mistaken , the rear main seal is a felt and needs to be full of oil to work . you can loosen the crank and slip one up and around the top and place one in the cap on the bottom but make sure they are full of oil . I may even have one ,I'll look .
I'm not sure if the seal has an upgrade or not , I think there was some discussion on this on the old site .

Re: KBS7 rear main seal

Thank you very much, I have done plenty of business with Olson's and was able to call and get one on the way. I am curious to the installation procedure tho, before installing. I will search and see if I can find it unless someone knows where it can be found. Thank you very much
