I will second what Ibesq posted. When I bought my KB1 I didn't even own a welder and had never welded before. I watched a ton of youtube videos, bought a little MIG welder and went at it. My truck turned out really nice. I learned a lot doing that truck. I am currently working on a 1952 Chevy that has a lot of rust. I found out I really enjoy shaping sheet metal and welding in patch panels. There are also hundreds of videos on shaping sheet metal. Instead of watching normal television I watch videos on anything to do with sheet metal shaping and welding.

Im the same, You Tube is great for tips and advise. Loads of videos on everything. Get stuck in, you'll love it. Luke

Definitely, if you have a lot of rust find a good blaster guy. I'm on the last of my rust and it will save you a lot of work and time.
And also start, lurking around ebay motors/parts and if you see something your missing, get it when you see it.
