parts book addendums

got these in the mail,

addendum to the K 1-5 series parts book,

one is all the differences between K, & KB, published 1/31/1947

others are transmission updates,

I like this kind of stuff, I have a whole binder full of service bulletins, upgrades and repairs based on customer feedback/complaints

Re: parts book addendums

Interesting stuff. One interesting point is you can see how language has evolved over the past 70 years. The use of the word "Peculiar" to define parts specific to the KB trucks. The use of the term "Remote Control" for the 3 speed transmission. If those manuals were written today different words and phrases would be used. I have some old car books and they are loaded with similar uses of words and phrases that we don't use today.

Re: parts book addendums

Remote control was still used in the parts manual for my '89 cabover. They did drop the Peculiar and used "special", as in "Special for Haliburton" on some parts.
