Front fender question

1947 KB-2

Assembling the front fenders.

Is there anything other than 3/8 inch carriage bolt that attaches to the rear part of the fender where it contacts the body of the truck?

Gasket?
Rubber?

Anyone have a illustration from a parts catalog?

Re: Front fender question

I think this is the mounting point you are questioning, and yes, there are rubber isolators on either side. I hope the picture helps. There is also a rubber fender gasket that goes from the cowl/firewall down to below the rocker/running board, as well as isolators that go between the bottom of the fender and front of the running board. I got all of them in the kit from Restoration Specialties but I think they are available individually as well.

Re-visited Restoration Specialties' website on-line catalog. What you need is under IH truck rubber parts, front fenderwelt is on page 1, fender mounting bushing kit is on page 5.
