No, no rope seal just a "slinger". The "rope" goes in the side grooves of the rear main cap sealing it to the block. This has been a point of discussion before. IIRC, the other place "rope" may be used is the front seal in the timing cover.

Yea like CB posted there is no rear crankshaft seal,

If you look at the crank there is a reverse spiral threads and a slinger,

the bearing cap has a flat area the threads ride on and a channel the Slinger sits down in,

There is a drain hole with a small tube for oil to go back into the pan.

Rope goes on sides of the bearing cap,

This drove me crazy trying to find a rear seal when I rebuilt my first GRD motor in 1975
