Update! Engine went in today. More pics when the shinny stuff gets added! Disregard the old wheels and tires. Gotta save up for the Coker's...

Looking good! I don't think I have sees a heat shield for the exhaust manifold before- I know my Kb-2 didn't have it and my KB-3 does not have it. Must be one of those parts that was put off to one side during engine work and too much of a PITA to put back on. My KBS did/do have a shield for the fuel pump.- Stickman 207

Looks great!

Did you install the ground braid at the drivers side front engine mount? I can't see it.
Nice job on the factory gas line. I did not like the long roundabout way the factory did it and went up the passenger side instead.

Thanks! And lucked out and only had to make the lines once, no screw ups... No I haven't added the ground strap yet. Just plopped it in yesterday.

Wow, I have a renewed respect for body shops....
Engine and chassis all finished and I have begun body work. First attempt at full paint and body, have been melting my brain on the internet and have a plan.
Also my upper body is going to look like I did six months at Alcatraz. That body hammer and dolly is "beating". Mostly small dents and what not.
I will have to say, I bought the Eastwood SCT Contour stripper tool, to strip the paint and rust off and that thing is the bees knees. Works like a champ. Also had the radiator rebuild, looks great, guy did a good job. Also restored the wiper switch to working order. That was fun. Have spray gun and supplies on the way to start covering with epoxy and primer.
Here's some update pics.

Its been a while since I was at the point you are with your restoration ,you have brought back some good memories for me too. I like the look of that fender , all down to bare metal . I also did a lot of research because I ,like yourself , need to know . I look forward to your updates , looks great !

I use body hammers and so far I have avoided the numbness in my hands.
