as I wrote, it's listed in the parts book, not as an option,
most manufacturers back then put shut offs at the tank so you could service fuel line or fuel pump without losing your tank full of gas on the ground.
I also wrote they had issues, so many were most likely removed sometime in the 70 plus years of different owners,
I'm not going to fall on a sword to claim as fact there were factory installed on ALL trucks, but everyone I've had that the tank/fuel line hadn't been modified had them,
manual calls for different part number for my KB-6 as fuel leaves tank at the bottom instead of the side, that is why KB-6 petcock is slightly different than the KB-1 one, same turn handle/manufacturer though,
