Thanks for all the support! First complete restoration.
This was a running and driving Truck( 42,000 mi), so you didn't miss anything as in rebuild. Basically did a full clean up, pull pan, re oiled as much as I could and cleaned rust out of passages. Did not pull head. Have bought a new head gasket, but waiting on that. Fuel tank and pump are being rebuilt, as well as carb. I rebuilt geni and distributor. Just need to put all the pieces back on once it's back in. Working on frame and brakes next.

Please post what you can about the fuel tank. Pictures would be great and you do pictures very well!

Mine is gone and most of them are rusted out by now. Sure wish I had the old parts and pieces so I could try to get a stock one back in. Has a terrible modern tank with a octopus of rubber hoses coming out the top of tank. Pure junk!

Just picked up a used stock sender unit. Probably bad but it came with a bunch of other stuff I got on EBay.

That home made petcock was for sure added after the truck was made. Could be handy!

first petcock I had seen, thought maybe it was the key to the mantel clock. Two tanks I did have had no shut off at all. You get a leaky line the whole tank would go on the ground.

That key is for the clock spring that drives the mini Ferris Wheel for the Old IHC rodents run on and power the truck. The clock spring drive is to give the rodents a little lift-assist on those cold winter mornings.

My KB-6 has same one, most of my K, KBs I've owned had them,

they clog/fail easily and get thrown away,

parts book calls out a number for it, no picture though,
