Cool, what size and drive is it? Looks like it is nice and deep. Could be a nice addition to the tool box.

Re: Cool Find on eBay

It is 1 1/2 on the hex end, which is the correct lug nut size for the KB5 and probably larger. It is 8" long which allows for the rear wheel dually stud clearance. 3/4" drive, which gives you appropriate torque to loosen and tighten. No markings, so I would love to know if it was a Dodge or IHC military contract. Seller said they came in a box of M151 Jeep WWII parts.

If you are interested, I can hook you up with his email.

Ok...perhaps I'm missing something....why couldn't you use a deep socket? Are the studs that long?

I love finding old tools etc....I'm just not familiar with the truck.

A Good Impact Deep Well Socket would work, if it is Deep enough. That Stud is pretty long, and the length of this tool helps get you outside the Wheel so you can put a cheater bar on it directly, with out an extension. Just my thoughts.

Re: Cool Find on eBay

Lloyd, you are spot on as usual. This thing is really heavy duty, and with the 6" extension on the breaker bar, works great. Already put mine to use. I have ZERO financial ties to the guy selling them, but boy, if you have dually's on the back of your KB5 ( or larger), this is the ticket. Our military did a good job on this one............

Re: Cool Find on eBay

When I had my '69 M35A2 6X6 (multifuel turbo Diesel) I bought the military Geared lug wrench. That was a really cool tool to have, it had a square socket that would slip over the thimble and a hex socket that removed the nut. The tool would hold the thimble and unscrew the nut off of it. There was like a 3:1 reduction so you could put lot's of torque on the nut without too much effort. A must-have tool for rusty lug nuts that are fused to the thimble and break the thimble loose before the nut moves.
Cash Disposal Units include; '49 International KBS-7, '46 Willys CJ2A Farm Jeep, '39 Buick sedan, '37 Allis Chalmers WC (other rusty old junk comes & goes without warning).

The two most useful tools you should own are a Crystal Ball and a Magic Wand.
