RD oil pan gasket?

Does anyone have a source for an oil pan gasket and rear main seal for a Red Diamond engine? I checked with 2 local parts stores, they both said it has been discontinued. I called Tom Underwood, he suggested I try an International truck dealer, but no luck there either....

Re: RD oil pan gasket?

This is a perfect example why it's better to look up and obtain the IH part number and then search. After I did a web search with the IH pn I went to my Mahle-Clevite/Victor catalog which had no listing. Next I went to Federal Mogul and put the IH# in and it crossed right off the bat.

Click "more info" in the Rock Auto link and it gives an itemized contents list. It has everything you want and more.

You can also try Egge Machine Company (www.egge.com) in Santa Fe Springs, California.

I got all my GRD-233 related gaskets from them.

Good luck,

Re: RD oil pan gasket?

I think I have a gasket set for the RD motors, after looking at the pictures, the only numbers on the box are hand written, OH5966-1 -----599517610, also L-180 ? 361? But the pics match, that Scott posted. Anyone can have this for the price of shipping, don't need it. Pics on request. This is in a Victor box.

Re: RD oil pan gasket?

I highly doubt EGGE will have anything for RD engs, and it's unlikely Outback would either unless it's NOS. These are large engines used in medium duty trucks and nothing like an automotive size engine.

The pn Kevin posted doesn't even open a search so it can only be confirmed with an old Victor book,I checked the one I have and it's not listed. The gaskets they do listed for the FBB & RED 361 are the same as the RD'd though.

As long as it's the right thing though (which I believe it is),it's a great deal.

Re: RD oil pan gasket?

Thanks a lot for all your help, guys!! I did check with Outback and they do have NOS oil pan gasket, but only as part of a lower gasket set for $94. I ended up finding a NOS pan gasket on ebay.
