Easy installation on a 1949 KB1 with a stock GND 214 engine; this is a one-wire alternator that replaces a stock generator with the 6 volt system.
Also purchased the pulley for 5/8" to 3/4" belt, installed: part #BALTP002

I thought it was worth posting here about how I was able to repair my sending unit . They are hard to find and this repair is for a common problem that is easy to fix , also will save you some money and work .
Take off the top of the unit and see if the tiny wire inside is still connected , if it is then this won't fix it . If it isn't then re-connect it with some epoxy ,jb quick is what I think I used , make sure that the wire and contact are clean and press the wire down and apply the jb , and hold it there until it sets . There is supposed to be something just like this in the gauge . What happens is the glue after so long gives up . They don't soder it because the wire gets hot and as a result causes the bar that its wrapped around to bend . It's a pretty amazing devise . Here is a picture that should help . *Comments: Great Service, had a water pump for my GRD213 rebuilt. The water pump was rebuilt using the original style washer that rides on the pump housing, the company had purchased a large lot of older (NLA) seals. They will also rebuild packing nut style pumps.

I got a pair of nice rubber/neoprene gaskets for a 47-55 Chev truck head light bucket and they are an exact match for my KB3.
Much better than those old crappy cork ones.

At least something is easy to get for a KB!
