Bed photos needed

I am working on a kb3 with a 8 1/2 foot bed (if memory serves correctly). I was able to cut out the old metal floor but the bracing is a mess. It looks like every weld is either rusted or broken. Would anyone be willing to share a photo of the bracing of your beds before (if it was in tact) or after you restored it? I have been looking for a bed in better shape near me but no luck so time to start putting this one back together. If anyone has any tips I am all ears. Thanks.

Re: Bed photos needed

Search Craigslist for trailers made out of old truck beds. Might find one that way. And you can tow it home. And since you're not going to be using it as a trailer, no title is no problem. :D

You might consider a wooden bed floor once you get your framing in order. Sorry I can't help you with a picture. Sold my KB earlier this year. Somebody should be able to post one, though.

Iowa Boy,
If you will PM your email address, I will send you photos of what you are looking for.
I'm not smart enough to post them on the forum.

Re: Bed photos needed

Thanks for sharing. I was messing around with it last night and "mangled mess" was heard on several occasions. I will be putting a wood floor in and the sides are in great shape. Just need to take my time and piece it back together.

Thanks JC. The angle on the first picture really helps me out. Appreciate the responses. Hopefully these pictures will help others as well.
