On the road again!

The truck is back on the road! I just rebuilt the engine, but I had an oil pressure dilemma, see my other thread about that one... I got it sorted out and went for the maiden voyage today. It runs strong and I'm really surprised by the amount of bottom end torque this thing has...it's a stump puller for sure. It probably helped that we shaved .050" off the head to get the compression up. I put about 25 miles on it with no issues so far. The truck had sat in a barn in Arizona for 32 years before I bought it back in January and shipped it home to NY. I had got it running and fairly road worthy by spring and put about 40 miles on it before the engine puked a rod bearing. I had to find another complete engine to come up with enough parts to make a good one but I should be good to go now. I just wish I could find a set of the 3.72 gears instead of my 4.18s...
