leaf spring bushings

This is a photo of my left rear leaf spring on my KB1. As you can see, the bushings seem to be worn out(along with the shackle).

I have the rear axle on jack stands and loosened up the bolts holding the spring pins in place. Can I just hammer those pins out? Is the spring still under some kind of tension at this point? Just want to make sure I'm proceeding correctly before I go further.
Are the bushings something that can be found at a good auto parts store?

Recently did the same thing to my "unit"....
What I found that worked well was jacking up the "chassis" until the rear tires just touch the ground... then place jack stands under the frame just before the rear spring perches... This way you relieve all the tension on the springs, tires still on the ground, but everything is still supported....
Remove the castle nut from the shackle pin... and since the backside shackle is also threaded, then UNBOLT the shackle pin from the shackle... no hammering required....
I found my shackle pins and bushings at a local spring/suspension shop.... this shop specializes in suspension components for big trucks (cement mixers, buses, heavy transports, etc).... they also rebuild leaf springs..... took my springs to them to install the bushes... that way I was guaranteed that the bushes matched the shackle pins... took all of five minutes or so per spring to install the bushes, and ream them to size...

He is correct on how the plns come out, I made my own bushings out of brass stock on my lathe. My local spring shop also has the pins and bushings available.

mine were shot like that, back in the 70s when I was poor and IHC parts were next to impossible to find,
I couldn't find the original 19/32 bolt sets, my bushings were shot,

I took a 5/8 drill bit & bored em out, then made my own shackles out of 1/4 X 1 1/2 bar stock, I used #8 hardened bolts and fiber lock nuts,
I know it wasn't the correct way, but still they lasted 20+ yrs. and were still good when I sold the truck.

I could not locate bushings so I made some out of steel, local spring shop had pins but not correct length so I added an extra shackle instead of a pile of washers.. I suggest you source the proper bushings and pins so you only have to do the job once.

I found bushings and pins at outback parts . They weren't cheap but knowing that 's done is nice .

here is a pic of the shackle bolts in my truck. I'm not planning to re-use them.

Someone got their money's worth out of them!

I dunno, looks like it's still go plenty of good miles left.
