You are needing the inside filter or the canister that holds the filter?

AS Lloyd stated, let us know what you are looking for, the canister assembly or the filter element. There are 2 separate setups listed in my KB5 parts book, and I am happy to help, but we need to know what you are looking for. I have an extra canister assembly that I would be willing to sell if you need it.

Hi Daryl,

I show Wix part# 551011. The filter is 5 3/4" long x 4 1/4" across. Not sure if it's for the Delux style

Hope this helps

Thanks guys. I should be able to find a replacement at my local auto supply with this info.
My canister is 4'' and some of the sock filters won't fit in. I have two canisters that are both the same size.
Thanks again
Daryl

If a sock type filter sits upright on a shelf long enough they tend to "settle" and can go a bit pear shaped. That'll make too fat to fit.Just lay it on it's side and roll it back 'n forth a few times. Learned that from an old timer.

I have the same issue . My KB2 has a delux housing and the sock filter has a recessed top with a rubber seal inset to allow the oil to flow in from top. Have'nt had any luck finding a filter that works.

I also have a 4 inch canister on my KB3. I found two (2) different brand of filters that work: Fleetguard LF505 and Baldwin JC405. I tried all of the usual auto part stores but they didn't stock these types of filters so I went to google and started my search. I recently bought a 6-pack of the Fleetguard filters on ebay for about $80.00 from Simply Filters. It took about 2 weeks to get them but now I'm set on filters for awhile.

Scottso - Thanks for the suggestion of laying the filters on the side!
