orginal exhaust K and KB 1946

Getting close to needing exhaust work done. Trying to stay orginal on routing.
Did the exhaust come out the rear under the rear bumper or did it turn and run behind the Right rear tire.
I am having an old time exhaust shop do the work.
Thanks for any thoughts or suggestions.

Re: orginal exhaust K and KB 1946

I always like to dump the exhaust out and to the side. Behind a rear wheel is my first choice. WHY?
I do not like to dump exhaust behind a vehicle. There is often a low pressure space behind a vehicle that can collect exhaust and drag it along for some distance.
If a person has an enclosed vehicle, this has the potential to poison the air in the vehicle. :h21014:

KB2 is the truck.
Behind the RR tire is where it will.

And two more things:
Exhaust contains strong corrosives that can add to the rust problem. Another rust accelerant is failure to have a dedicated ground for the tail-lights. Rusting makes a measurable amount of electricity. This situation can be made worse by not having dedicated ground wire.
