Steering connection

Help. I am doing something wrong. The shaft from the steering case that sticks through the frame to the pitman arm doesn't align correctly. everything inside the frame is straight. the am I missing a part?

Hard to get a 3D prospective from that one picture.
Simple put, with the steering gear 1/2 way between the two "locks" (midpoint in the gear box) the pitman arm should hang 90 deg from the frame.. If that isn't or can not be made to happen, you have to find out why.
Your picture looks like the pitman arm is at some rakeish angle.
