Funny the hydrovac cover on my '48 came off no problem,I don't think it ever had been off. I don't think it was rust as much as lazy or couldn't find the 1/2" wrench and just left it off.
Let me know of Chapin does make them (it would make sense to make them without holes) and I'll let you know if I am getting some made.
Finely getting some time to fix my cars and old trucks. It will be nice to have them running again. My '42 started after sitting many years, I can't remember how many, with a clean of the points and a little gas down the carb to prime. Same old 6 volt, must be close to 10 years old by now. Had it on a periodic charge while the truck was sitting.
