Gas filler neck connecting hose

So i have a few gas tanks i just had lined and the fuller neck connecting hoses are shot. Does the gas neck connecting hose need to be gas rated hose? If so does anyone have a source?

I just went to NAPA and bought a hose from them and cut it. It's just a 2 inch (inner diameter) "gas rated hose". Just ask for a filler neck hose that is 2" ID.

This would work as well just cut to prob 4 inches.
