Nice one. Says 4 speed synchromesh transmission with stock engine. I wonder what it has? I’ll ask.

Re: For sale

The last bid I see is $11,000. A nice restoration, like this, is worth double+ that amount.

What do you think of the tailgate? Not stock. Not Knox.

Re: For sale

Curious what is involved in swapping in a T98? Sounds like it mounts to the bell housing but what about input shaft and mounting to cross member?

it's a smooth plain KNOX gate,
KNOX made several different gates,
smooth,
smooth with embossed KNOX logo,
heavy plain textured,
heavy textured with embossed KNOX logo
and grain door gate.

T-98 is almost a direct bolt in, front collar on trans needs to be turned on a lath about 1/8" to fit into GRD bell housing, bolts line up,
input shafts are the same, driveline needs to be shortened a few inches,
That's it, rear frame member is at bell housing, not transmission.

Re: For sale

Thanks Nikki- Restored by yours truly and sold to the man in Chico , California about 5 years ago. He hated the stock transmission from the day he owned it and called me after delivery to complain. I told him that the transmission had been thoroughly gone through and operated as it was designed to operate. Don't think he like double clutching. Stickman 207
