The felt around my back and front fenders how far do they go around the fender? Do they start at the front of the fender and go around to the rear of the fenders?

Just because Old IHC had a bad original idea is not a good reason to continue with it. Felt, if in fact that is what you have, holds moisture and will contribute to rusting the fender to body contact points.
There are better options. I have used a rubber like fender welting on my projects for over 30 years. This product is so much beter than the OEM crap used on the L, R, and S trucks. I bought mi welting in bulk at a restoration store 45 minutes from here. Bob Drake Reproductions in Grant's Pass Oregon sells this, also. https://www.bobdrake.com/

all the trucks I've had used rubber welting not felt between fender and cab, and between rear fenders and box, is your truck a U.S. made one?

Gday all I got a fender welting that's off a Morris minor 1000, fits the kb fenders perfect, just another way.

It is apparently OK is the feeler pops a few TIC TAC first. I prefer a good looking tailgate.

Restoration Specialties will have the fender welting you need and much of the other rubber parts you may need.
