Hot Cab/Heat from Engine

Theres a lot of heat coming from the engine thru those little passenger side vents.

Any remedy?

Those two heater doors down by the passsenger floor.

Someone once suggested installing 2 ball valves and a lever to
turn it off and on under the hood

Yes, install a valve in the hose. You only need to shut off one of the hoses.

oh, the barn door heater, yes one thing about K,KB is they have one heck of a heater, L, R, S, series heater is weak in comparison,

my old truck had a faucet type valve on rear engine outlet, have to pop hood and turn it, not very convenient here in N.W. where one day is 50 next day is 75,

my panel has inline ball valve with lever having cable hardware on it, I have a pull knob next to heater switch to open or close the valve, only need it on one line to stop water flow, usually the one coming from water pump,
