Can anyone tell me the year? I think it reads HF 242 9952 or HF 242 952

Look on your engine compartment firewall on the passenger side, should be a data plate there, or at least the holes for it. Look at the drivers side frame rail between the steering gear and the front. Should be a chassis number stamped in it. they will be 1/2 tall numbers/letters and they are hand stamped so may not be very clear. Do not sand or grind. These did not have serial numbers, just chassis numbers. Some states titled by engine number, some by chassis number.

Those numbers look like cab serial numbers, which have nothing to do with chassie or engine numbers which were used for registration proposes. Cab serial number are just for the sheet metal of the cab
