Fuel pump problem solved

Well I took everybody's advice, and got my fuel pump rebuilt,in my kb3 214 motor and it works a treat, I just use the electric one to prime the carb and yabadabado, starts straight away. Thank you to all that advised me to do that, I should have done that first, before fitting an electric one, live and learn I suppose.

Re: Fuel pump problem solved

I'm in favor of mechanical pumps. BUT with the gas today, I find it evaporates from the carb.if the engine sits unused for a week, so either you have to crank a lot, or use an electric to prime as you do.
Back when gas was formulated for carburetors it wasn't a big problem, now with everything fuel infected. with the pumps in the tank, it is not formulated to sit in open carbs.
