Windshield not cranking closed on the bottom edge

1941 K1. The windshield won't crank down tight on the bottom edge. The top seals tight, but the bottom still has about a two finger gap when the crank is turned to fully closed. Do I start by adjusting the top or could it just be a bottom adjustment or both?

Set the windscreen in place then adjust the hinges and mechanics to match. Do not force anything. Cleanliness is #1.

Re: Windshield not cranking closed on the bottom edge

It looks like the nut that goes up and down on the big screw bottoms out before the windshield can close all the way. Trying to figure out how to adjust so the nut can go down further. The windshield opens further than it needs to, need it to be adjusted more for the closing than the opening. Image attached.

there is a stop on the mechanism so you can adjust how tight you can crank it, need to adjust that stop,
I'll look at mine and update.
